Skincare Has No Gender. We're Just the First to Admit It.

Skincare Has No Gender. We're Just the First to Admit It.

Here's a fun fact: your skin doesn't know what gender you are.

It just knows whether it's hydrated or not. Whether it's irritated or not. Whether it's being looked after or not.

And yet somehow the skincare industry has convinced half the population that they need a product in a dark bottle with a vaguely aggressive name, and the other half that they need seventeen steps and a serum that costs more than a car payment.

Neither of those things is skincare. That's just marketing with a target demographic.

"Men's skincare" is mostly the same product in different packaging.

We're going to say the quiet part loud: the vast majority of products marketed specifically to men are functionally identical to their "women's" counterparts. Same ingredients, different bottle, sometimes a higher price tag because apparently being male costs extra to calm an itchy face.

The differences that do exist are usually fragrance and marketing copy. That's it.

And "women's skincare" has its own problems.

The women's skincare market is built almost entirely on insecurity. Anti-ageing. Pore minimising. Brightening. Firming. Every product exists to fix something that doesn't need fixing.

Your skin doesn't need to be younger, smaller, brighter, or tighter. It needs to be healthy. There's a significant difference, and the industry would very much prefer you didn't notice it.

Skin is skin.

Oily skin is oily skin whether it belongs to a 22-year-old man or a 55-year-old woman. Dry skin needs moisture regardless of who it's attached to. Sensitive skin doesn't care about your gender identity, it just wants to be left alone with something gentle.

The things that make skincare work, good ingredients, proper formulation, no unnecessary irritants, are the same for everyone.

So we just... didn't bother with the gender thing.

Tree Fairy products are made for skin. Your skin. Whatever gender you are, whatever age you are, whatever your skin is doing right now.

No pink tax. No dark bottles with names like "Power Surge Maximum Hydration for Men." No before-and-after photos of someone who clearly had great skin to begin with.

Just plant-based, vegan, palm-oil-free skincare that does what it's supposed to do.

No beauty standards. No self-proclaimed influencers. No gender roles or traits.Β

Just healthy skin, whatever that looks like for you.
